These Two Go Together

Listen to these powerful Scriptures below…

Deuteronomy 8:18 AMPC. – “But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”

3 John 2 AMPC
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.”

I believe that as we enforce the enemy’s defeat and renew our minds to God’s Word and will for our finances, more and more believers will rise up with godly motives, entrepreneurial spirits, and passion to generously support the advancement of the gospel! We still have a lot of work to do to get the gospel to the ends of the earth, and it’s going to take loads of wealth. (Psalm 112:1 – 3; Proverbs 10:22; Deuteronomy 8:18; 2 Corinthians 9:6 – 10; Galatians 3:13 – 14). Remember, to receive Jesus is free, but to follow Jesus will cost you.

Friends, we need to embrace the Father’s desire and promise to bless, increase, and prosper His very own children – this includes you as born-again, blood washed child of God. You’ve been “blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ.” (Ephesians 1:3). Without this foundation, we’ll always resist, feel guilty, unworthy, or apologetic about success, being blessed, or getting wealth; but without wealth, we cannot be generous! God wants us to be blessed and to be a blessing. He wants His wealth to come to us and throughus…all the while remembering that our trust isn’t in money. God wants us to trust in Him and use money for spreading the gospel, helping others and enjoying life!

Say and Pray This Out Loud: “Father, thank You that it’s Your will that my life prospers. Thank You that You give me the ability to gain wealth, and I’m so thankful that I am blessed to be a blessing and I get to invest in the advancing of the gospel throughout the earth. Help me Father be and become a bigger and better benefit and blessing to others and Your Kingdom through Your extravagant generosity that flows to and through my life by Your grace and power. Please show me new ways that I can help others out of the abundance of what You’ve given to me! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My goal is to help you — yes, you, dear friend — get the basic truth on what God’s Word says about wealth and generosity. The two go together. True wealth cannot exist apart from a generous spirit. A truly generous lifestyle cannot exist without wealth.

>>Let me just put it out there. We don’t give to get. We give to give (minister) (Luke 6:38) and we give because we’ve already gotten.

When we give to God in response to the generosity He’s already shown us, it turns out that the Lord in His generosity enables us to get more! (Did you follow that?) Second Corinthians 8:9 sums it up nicely,”You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that by His poverty He could make you rich” (NKJV).

Do you know that the most generous act in all of time and eternity was when God spared not His own Son, but gave Him up for us all? The Father has already given us His most generous gift by sending His most valued and only begotten Son, Jesus Christ — why wouldn’t He generously give us all other things? After all, Romans 8:31-32 tells us, “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (NKJV). Our response to His generosity is to freely receive all the things we need and then to freely give. That’s the best definition of wealth and generosity I know. Isaiah 32:8 says “But a generous man devises generous things, And by generosity he shall stand.” (NKJV). May the Lord continue to flow to, in and through us with both bountiful seasons of generosity and a consistent spirit of generosity to creatively devise generous things to be a blessing and benefit to His Kingdom as we are blessed in the Lord in Jesus’ Name.
