Building up the Body

Hello TWCC Friends and Family,

Take a moment to think and ponder the below Scripture verses…

“Finally they said, “Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?” John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, “I am the voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.'”John 1:22-23, NIV

Who are you? What do you say about yourself?

These are two great questions. John the Baptist knew who he was and what he was about. We need to know and say the same. Here’s the truth about you!

Who are you? If you believe in your heart that Jesus has been raised from the dead and you confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord—you are “in Christ” and that means you’ve been made the righteousness of God in Him. You are more than a conqueror; you are an overcomer through your faith and you are blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. You are a joint-heir with Christ. You are a born-again, saved and redeemed, blood-washed son or daughter of the Most High God.

What do you say about yourself? If you have submitted your life to the Lord—you are a voice of one crying aloud in the wilderness of this world with the only message of life and eternal hope that can be found: Jesus is Lord. You are a witness to and for Jesus Christ. Apart from Him you can’t do anything, but through Christ you can do all things.

In and of ourselves, we know nothing, have nothing, can do nothing and are nothing. But, in Christ, we know all things, have all we need, can do all things and are complete in Him! Glory to God! You are a citizen of Heaven, a blessed child of God Almighty, an Ambassador for Christ, a Saint of God, a part of royal priesthood and a holy nation.  You are the redeemed righteousness of God IN CHRIST (ref 2 Corinthians 5:21).

Remember friends, it’s been said to us before that the enemy of our soul tries to steal two things from you (ref
John 10:10): (1) Your identity and (2) Your future. Concerning our IDENTITY…Comparison and competition are fruit of foolishness. Don’t try to be or beat someone else, just be the best you that you’ve been recreated IN CHRIST to be! You are awesome and powerfully special IN CHRIST! Each one of us have a universal purpose, a united purpose and a unique purpose. We should not allow the devil to steal our identity of: 1st – Who we are IN CHRIST, and  2nd – Who we are in Body of Christ – in that order. WHEN WE AS A CHURCH WORK TOGETHER IT IS PHENOMENAL WHAT IT CAN DO!

You can’t save people by saving people; you save people by bringing the Savior to people.

Concerning your future…Thieves do not rob empty houses. They come because you have something. We don’t just confess that we are a new creation; we are also to BE a New Creation IN CHRIST! Don’t let the devil steal your future! Time now is a limited tiny part of our future; eternity is our big future. It is said time is just a temporary interruption of eternity. Tomorrow is a product of today, and we are to be driven by eternity. What kind of future are we producing? Are we living for the rest of our natural life or are we living for eternity? Not doing what you’re supposed to be doing on and in time opens the door for the enemy to steal your future.

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians ‭4:16-18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

WHEN MY LIFE COUNTS FOR YOU IN THIS LIFE, THEN MY LIFE COUNTS FOR ME IN THE NEXT LIFE! Our focus is to be on others, not yourself. We are to strive and work hard together to hear The Lord say…Well done thou good and a faithful servant…” – Matthew 25:21, 23. Good is benefiting and being a blessing to others. I can’t build my eternity when I get into eternity; I build my life now. I am to focus and work hard at building the Body of Christ and building up others – now!

Say It and Pray It: “Father, my life is summed up in Jesus Christ. He is my Alpha and Omega. I am a born-again believer in Jesus Christ and am not ashamed of the gospel. I am a voice of one crying out with the good news of Jesus Christ. Apart from Him, I am nothing, know nothing, have nothing and can do nothing…but through Christ I know all the things I need to know, have all I need, and can do all things. I am complete in Christ! I am the righteousness of God in Christ, redeemed by the Blood of Christ and walking and working in the love  and power of Christ. Thank You Lord for enabling and equipping me with grace, anointing, knowledge, skill, understanding and wisdom to build up others, be a blessing to others and build up the Body of Christ. Thank You Lord for helping me produce and make increase in the Body and help to edify it in love. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Sincerely yours
IN CHRIST,
